The long-awaited (for the UK) Pro version of Microsoft's Surface tablet brings a few significant changes, such as full-fat Windows 8 (rather than the slimmed-down RT version), a more powerful processor, more memory, and a full HD touchscreen with stylus.
It's on sale now for £719 for the 64GB version, £799 for the 128GB version.
Design
The Pro looks much the same as the RT, but its weightier spec has led to it being a bit of a porker at 14mm thick, especially in comparison with recent tablets like Sony's 7mm-thick Xperia Tablet Z. It's no lightweight either at a wrist-straining 916g.

It's got the same metallic stand that flips out from the back so you can use it with one of the keyboard covers (same as the RT) which magnetically clip to the bottom. You've got a choice of the 3mm slim hard-surface Touch Cover (£100) or the more luxurious Type Cover (£110) with real, pressable keys.
You don't necessarily need either of course, since the onscreen keyboards work perfectly well, but they'll let you take full advantage of the screen while you work and play.
